TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Prior to placing an order all customers must read our terms and conditions and agree to this set of regulations. The Agreement between wooden-blinds.com and the customer is reached as soon as the payment reaches our bank account (24 hours).
Our Products:
Since the products available on our website are made to measure according to the measurements you provide, please take note of the fact that it is your responsibility to ensure that the given measurements are correct and that we do not accept returns and we cannot refund the money if you suply incorrect measurements or if the blinds are within the 2-5 mm tolerance limit.
Since the blinds are made of real timbers please note that there might be differences in shade between the sample and the blinds, there might also be a slight variation between colours of online samples and tint revealed by real ones. Images on the online product page are to be considered for illustration purposes only. The pictures of the samples are of the highest quality but since screen resolution may vary, it is advisable that you order real samples to see their exact appearance. Since blinds are made of real wood, it is also important for you to place an order for the blinds as soon as possible after receiving the samples that they come from the same batch . Do please take into account the fact that we are not able to offer refunds regarding colour variations.
The names displayed on the website can differ from the names given by the manufacturer so the product name written on the box might not be the same one as found on our website. In order to avoid misunderstandings please compare the products received with the sample.
Customers should also be aware of implicit differences between blinds industry and other manufacturing areas when strictly referring to timbers. A "walnut floor" product is to be crafted using actual walnut wood as compared to blinds which are manufactured of basswood or other timbers and coated to imitate walnut appearance. If trying to match floor inside your house with the blinds available on our site, please request a sample, prior to ordering, so to avoid possible misapprehensions.
If the blinds provided through our website are crafted using exact wood species we will specify this by adding "real" to their basic denomination e.g. "real walnut".
Roller and blackout blinds may vary in drop up to the maximum sizes specified on our website. This fact would not affect, under any circumstances, the normal functions of the given roller blind.
Orders:
Please use the contact page for any inquiries regarding orders. Since most of the products we purchase are outsourced from the UK as well as from Europe, 1-2 business days are required to give a response to an inquiry, that is why problems cannot be resolved via telephone.
Our telesales representatives always repeat back each order to be sure that each detail is accurate and not misunderstood, therefore we are not able to accept claims when referring to phone orders. Be sure to check all features regarding measurements of requested blinds by carefully following all instructions sent by us in the confirmation email. All customers are also able to review their orders by logging on to our contact page. These specifications will be posted in a half an our after placing the order over the phone.
Shipping details:
The delivery time is specified for each product in the designated page as well as in the quotation. All the time frames specified refer to workdays (example 7 days means 7 working days) from the moment we have received the payment. Note that the specified time does not apply during busy times of the year such as Bank Holidays or Christmas nor to situations involving out of stock products. In the latter situation, the customer will be informed as soon as possible.
Orders to Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and others are subject to additional fees and the customer will be informed about the amount the carrier charges for each delivery as soon as possible. Customers may cancel their order if they do not agree with these extra charges.
Note that every parcel must be inspected upon delivery and that faulty parcels must be signed for as damaged should that be the case. Carefully inspect items inside the parcel immediately after receiving it to check for potential damage. Please report any damages within a well-advised time frame of 28 days, using our contact page. In order to rapidly solve any possible issues we will request digital pictures illustrating alleged damages. If you do not have the chance to inspect the parcel please sign the POD as "not checked"
Wooden blinds are not recommended for use inside damp areas such as bathrooms.
The setup guides available online are provided with the purpose of explaining how a blind works and the correct installation steps. Customers should use the guides supplied upon delivery as fitting accessories may vary from one manufacturer to another.
Note that in case you cannot receive the parcel on the first delivery attempt, the carrier will leave a card or a message on the phone. If you do not contact the carrier to rearrange the delivery and the parcel returns to us, we will charge re-delivery fees.
Cancellations / Returns Policy:
The made to measure items (blinds, curtains, shades,awnings or shutters) are not included in this stipulation, the 7 day cancellation rights cannot be applied, all according to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. We are not able to accept returns of made to measure items. Cancellation is still possible for ready made products, all expenses being supported by customers. In this case we ask for the customer to return the product within 7 days. Be sure to ask for a return number by contacting our customer service department, prior to sending back the box. This return number must be clearly written on this box.
Privacy Policy:
All the data we require for the completion of the order will be processed and used as per the regulations stated in the Data Protection Act 1998.
We will collect the following information:
  • your name
  • address
  • phone number
  • email address
None of your details are stored after the order is complete nor are they passed on to any third party.
Child Safety Information:
Even if equipped with extra safety devices which might considerably reduce the risk of strangulation, all blinds available online cannot be labeled as foolproof. In order to prevent these situations, please be sure to keep cords, chains, tapes and other correspondent pieces out of the reach of children. Please install the child safety devices before mounting the blind. If there is no such device in the delivery box please notify us using the contact page on our site. Start installing the blind only after receiving the child safety device.
